Amazing experience. I had looked for months and dealt with haggling, rude, and pushy salesmen, but Foster came through and was beyond helpful, kind, and informative. They were also extremely honest and transparent with me about costs/expectations/payments etc. which was super refreshing, especially since it was my first time purchasing a car. Correspondence was quick and polite, and I never felt like a burden. Edit June 2025 3 years after purchase: was told I needed to replace my turbo for $4k (by another shop NOT Foster), called Foster and they referred me to their VW mechanic. Saved me $4,000!!! Forever grateful I chose them for my vehicle purchase.

Bought a beautiful Golf diesel mark4 from Foster Auto a few months back and I couldn’t be happier with it. I had just moved to Hamilton area and have been scouting their inventory for weeks. I knew they had good cars coming in and out constantly + when you drive around Hamilton area and see a VW chances are high it’s from FOSTER Auto so I kept my eyes open whenever I drove by their lot. Car looked clean inside and out first time I came to look at it and when I did a Test-drive Everything was fine, car was in great shape. All Infos/pictures on website matched the truth and everything concerning the car history and papers was transparent and in order. I appreciate how Mike handled everything, he is a great salesman. We made a fair deal and I’ve never felt pressured to buy in the process. All Promises were kept and I got a great car! There’s something special about buying from a family business dealership like Foster Auto.

After my dad unfortunately had to write off his car, we visited countless dealerships, looked at hundreds of vehicles, and dealt with more than a few shady salespeople. Then we found Foster Auto. Ann was wonderful every single step of the process and was able to get our car ready quicker than anticipated. No pressure, no commissions, no bullshit. We bought a used vehicle and picked it up today, the whole experience was fantastic! It's a family business and everyone is friendly, but more importantly they are honest and there is no pressure. All their vehicles appear to be in very good shape and I will be back when it's time to buy my son a vehicle. We've now purchased a second vehicle from Foster and the service remains outstanding. We had a small hiccup with the passenger window and they quickly corrected it. I recommend them to family and friends that are looking for a quality used vehicle amd an excellent experience.
